The Diploma in Interior Design is a comprehensive, 1-year-long course that builds on the Certificate and helps you master the field of Interior Design. Being a part-time course, it enables you to comfortably learn while working or studying at the same time. Over 230+ hours of live sessions, you will learn everything from the fundamentals to advanced concepts of spatial planning, interior styling and project management, for residential as well as commercial spaces. By the time you complete this interior design diploma course, your experience of working on several hands-on projects will get you ready to work for an interior design firm, a product company, a lifestyle brand or even to launch your very own studio. On graduating from the Interior Design PG Diploma course, you will be awarded a formal certification recognising your successful completion of the Interior Design PG Programme.

      Do I need prior knowledge/experience in design?

      Prior knowledge and experience in the design field are not mandatory for admission. However, a background in design or related fields is an advantage.

      I can’t draw very well. Does that matter?

      The part-time Certificate & Diploma courses in Interior Design are specially designed for working professionals who wish to learn alongside their current job. Classes are held twice a week, during the evening. You start with a 6 month Certificate course, with over 110+ hours of live interactive learning, that introduces you to the fundamentals of Interior Design. By continuing for another 6 months you can graduate with an Interior Design Diploma. This will give you an opportunity to further your learning in the domain of Interior Design and enable you to take in a broader variety of projects.

      How will I learn Interior Design online?

      AND Academy's online interior design diploma courses are immersive and interactive, providing extensive human support. You'll explore new concepts through live sessions, demonstrations, and presentations, creating an active learning environment.       Our tech-driven remote learning enables smooth collaboration and information sharing. With access to abundant learning resources, assignment guidelines, and feedback via our top-tier management system, Canvas, you’ll also use tools like Miro and G-suite for project collaboration.       What are the class timings?

      Live sessions for the part-time Diploma in Interior Designing course are conducted twice a week on weekday evenings.

      What is the medium of instruction?

      All communication related to the course will be in English. Therefore, it is imperative for learners to have a basic understanding of written and spoken English.

      A maximum of 25-30 students are enrolled in each batch to ensure a personalised learning experience.

      What design software will I learn?

      The Diploma in Interior Design course includes CAD training for creating technical working drawings, which is essential for calculating materials and quantities. Our Software track offers industry-standard video tutorials for self-paced learning, along with live demo and support sessions.

      Will I get a diploma on completion of the course?

      Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded a Diploma in Interior Designing.

      What if I don’t complete the course due to an unforeseen circumstance?

      If personal circumstances prevent you from continuing the course, you can pause your studies and resume with the next batch from where you left off.

      Are there any age limitations to applying for a course at AND?

      There is no age limit for entry. However, the programme is most suitable for those who are at an early stage in their career with an experience range of zero to five years. If you have more work experience, we encourage you to get in touch with the admissions team for consultation, who will evaluate your profile and advise you accordingly.


      02. 

      What are the eligibility criteria for admission?

      Your passion for interior design and eagerness to learn are the main admission criteria. No prior design experience or specific skills are required. For a part-time Diploma in Interior Design course, you need to have completed Class XII.

      Remote learning at AND requires basic digital literacy, so you should be comfortable with word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, and internet browsing. Proficiency in English is necessary for both written and verbal communication.


      03. 

      What kind of support is available to students for IT/digital platforms?

      Once you enrol for a course, you will receive assistance to familiarise yourself with the digital platforms we will use during our orientation sessions.

      What is the application process?

      The admission process involves:

      05. 

      Will you provide feedback on an unsuccessful application?

      Due to the high volume of applications and the confidentiality of the Admissions Committee's deliberations, we cannot provide individual feedback on rejected applications.


      06. 

      I don't have an undergraduate degree. Can I still be considered for admission?

      Yes. While most of our participants have undergraduate and/or advanced degrees, this is not compulsory for admission. Please contact our counsellors to check your eligibility for specific courses.


      07. 

      Can I attend a demo class before enrolling in a course?

      Candidates who have submitted their application form can join an ongoing class as an observer to witness the AND way of learning. This is a good way for you to understand the unique learning experience that we create for our learners.


      08. 

      What extra costs can I expect while studying?

      You need a computer with a mic and camera for live sessions and interior design software for project work. Basic stationery like sketchbooks and pens is also required. For CAD, a licensed copy is recommended, but a free subscription is sufficient for learning.

      Upon enrollment, we will share our recommendation for the system configuration of a computer as well as a list of supplies you will need.

      Are there any scholarships available?

      Exceptional candidates who excel in their interviews and/or have demonstrable financial need are eligible for scholarships. Contact our Course Advisor for details.


      10. 

      Is there a refund policy?

      You can request a refund of your fees up to 6 days from the Orientation Programme date. Alternatively, you may choose to defer your admission to the next batch.
